Guy F. Jacobucci

Guy Jacobucci, 88, formerly of Waukesha, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, in Tucson, Ariz. Guy was the loving husband of his wife of 62 years, Ann (nee Hauser). He was the loving father of five children: Chuck (Lynee) of Mendota Heights, Minn., David (Leslie) of Oneida, Jonel Jacobucci of DePere, Sarah (Wayne) Dieringer of Waukesha and Beth (Larry) Brown of St. Michael, Minn., and the loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren, two in Waukesha: Elizabeth and Rachael Dieringer.
He was born Feb. 5, 1925, in Chicago Heights, Ill. Guy joined the Marine Corps at the age of 18. Guy served for three years during World War II, in Special Services as entertainment for the troops playing baseball and football for the Naval Air Station in Hawaii. Guy was exceptionally gifted at baseball and was fortunate to play semipro for the Sioux Falls Canaries.
He graduated from Illinois State University in 1950, taught in Cicero, Ill., and in 1954 transferred to Waukesha High School teaching industrial education, where he started the technology education and carpentry program for the school district. He was the head golf coach and assistant football coach at Waukesha High and also served as the building and grounds administrator for the School District of Waukesha until he retired in 1986.
Guy and Ann retired to Manitowish Waters and spent their winters in Tucson. Guy was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter and silversmithing instructor. Guy was a wonderful man and will be very much missed by his family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held in Tucson on Feb. 28 and in Manitowish Waters on July 5.
Memorials may be given to a charity of choice.
