Forrest W. Fetting

Forrest W. Fetting, 86, of Lac du Flambeau, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. Forrest was born March 20, 1926, in Exeland, the son of William and Laura (nee Stuffle) Fetting. Forrest was a seaman with the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II.


He worked for Briggs & Stratton for 31 years and then another 12 years with Moreland Medical Center in Waukesha and then retired to Lac du Flambeau six years ago.


He is survived by his wife, Adeline; his sons, Patrick (Beth) Mariani, Michael (Shelley) Mariani and Timothy (Denise) Fetting; his daughter, Tammy (Eric) Rosenow; daughter-in-law, Debbi Fetting; 16 grandchildren, Mark (Lisa) Mariani, Marsha (Dave) Lamb, Megan (Billy O’Keefe) Mariani, Micah Mariani, Michael (Marilyn) Mariani, Michele (John) Pennucci, Anthony Mariani, Rachael Wondra, Dan Dedmond, Kim Sagan, Kyle Fetting, Kristen (Jeremy) Rocker, Andrea Fetting, Michelle Reith, Mitchel Fetting and Greggory Kowalski; 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, Donald Fetting; sister, Alberta Metcalf; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Forrest was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Fetting; his parents; a brother, Earl Fetting; and two sisters, Marge Reed and Hazel Johnson.


Private family funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waukesha.
