George V. Adler of Waukesha passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the age of 98. He was born Aug. 3, 1914, in Eagle, the son of William and Pauline Adler.

George married the love of his life, Catherine Sobrofski, on July 27, 1946. He was a lifelong member of St. William Catholic Church. George was a proud World War II Navy veteran, and a member of the VFW post in Waukesha and the Knights of Columbus. In his younger years, he played baseball in the Land o’ Lakes area.

George will be lovingly missed by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; his brothers, William, Ervin and Henry; and his sisters, Madeline, Theresa, Margaret, Mary, Ann and Rose.

The visitation for George will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Entombment will immediately follow the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
