Walter E. Barrons

Walter E. Barrons found eternal peace Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the age of 98. He was born in Houghton, Mich., on Jan. 5, 1914, the son of Henry and Rose (Bussiere) Barrons. Walter was the owner of Barrons Shell Service Station in Oconomowoc for many years.
Walter married the love of his life, Edwarda Forster, on July 24, 1937, and shared 53 years of marriage.
Surviving Walter are his three children, Barbara (David) Torrison, Carol Zeutzius and Roberta (Thomas) Dierbeck, along with nine grandchildren, David Jr., Todd and Timothy Torrison, Kim Sneller, Kristen Hagemeier, Gerald Zeutzius Jr., and Candice and Alyssa Dierbeck. He is further survived by 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Norman.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Edwarda; granddaughter, Tricia Wright; and son-in-law, Gerald Zeutzius.
He was an active resident of Shorehaven/Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc for the last 25 years. The family is grateful to all the staff and caregivers for their love and support.
Funeral services were held Dec. 31 at Dr. Martin Luther Church in Oconomowoc.
