Beatrice G. ‘Bea’ Dewane-Stange

Beatrice G. “Bea” Dewane-Stange of Waukesha passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at the age of 96. She was born Feb. 4, 1916, the daughter of Andrew and Viola Bottoni.

 

Bea married the late Dennis Dewane and was remarried to Bernard “Bud” R. Stange on Jan. 11, 1986. She was a lifelong member of St. William Catholic Church, where she was a Christian Mother and volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul Society. Bea also belonged to the VFW Auxiliary in Waukesha. Most of all, she loved to dance and was a very good cook.

 

Bea will be sadly missed by her husband, Bud; children, Ronald (Joan) Dewane of Waukesha, Lee Lawler of Florida and Ann (Forrest) Bishop of Waukesha; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Bea was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Dewane; son, Russell; and brothers, Philip, Paul and Lloyd.

The visitation for Bea will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Kevin Barnekow will be officiating. The burial will take place privately at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
