Ana Aspero Villarias

 

 

Ana Aspero Villarias, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Oconomowoc, in the home of one of her children after a long battle with cancer. She was 81 years of age and was a longtime resident of Richton Park, Ill., and a parishioner of St. Iranaeus Church in Park Forest, Ill.

 

She is survived by her husband, Prospero; children, Rowena (James Horton), Judie (James Cotey) and Gino (Karen); grandchildren, Rafael Kronenberg, Courtney Jean Cotey, Claire Ana Cotey, Abigail Armida Villarias and Marina Theresa Villarias; a brother, Paulino Aspero; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children, and cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Felino Aspero; mother, Paulina Aspero; and four brothers, Ludovico, Panfilo, Leonardo and Patricio.

 

Ana was a most devout Catholic, participating in the choir of St. Iranaeus, various area Novena Devotional groups and the Markham Senior Center. She has made many pilgrimage trips to religious places, among them Lourdes, Fatima, Italy and Medjugorje.

 

She was a deeply spiritual woman who welcomed everyone that she met with her warm embrace and kind-hearted smile. She was a very loving, caring mother and grandmother who gave of herself fully and generously. She will be missed by one and all.

 

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the noon memorial Mass on Monday, Jan. 21, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 995 S. Silver Lake St., Oconomowoc.
