Mary L. Gruendemann
 

 

Mary L. Gruendemann, 86, a resident of Wisconsin Veteranís Home in King, formerly of Waukesha, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. She was born in Milwaukee to Elmer and Viola (Carrington) Fidler.

 

Mary attended normal school and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was married to Daniel H. Gruendemann and he preceded her in death July 23, 1996. Mary worked for many years at RTE. She enjoyed reading and was an active church member. During her retirement, Mary was very involved with volunteering in many different capacities. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

 

Mary is survived by her daughters, Meg Gruendemann, Sara Stelter, Rachel (Norriss) Lehman and Paula (Doug) Milner; daughter-in-law, Julie Gruendemann; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel Gruendemann; sons, Daniel (Cheryl) Gruendemann and James Gruendemann; son-in-law, John Stelter; and her brothers, Eugene Fidler and Jack (Violet) Fidler.

 

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Friday, Jan. 25, at Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma, led by the Rev. George Kafer.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Maryís name to a local food pantry of your choice.
