Dorothy Ida Salfer March 5, 1942 - Jan. 22, 2013
Dorothy
Ida Salfer (nee Ott), 92, of Oconomowoc, passed into eternal life with
her family at her side on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013. Dorothy is survived by
her children Barbara (Thomas) Larson, James Salfer, Nancy (Ken) Maves
and Diane (James) Zahn. Loving grandmother to Kim and Kristopher Maves.
She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Preceded in
death by her loving husband of 30 years George Salfer who was a
decorated WWII veteran, daughter Janet Williquette, two brothers and
three sisters.
In 1945, Dorothy met George Salfer while working at Western Union. In 1947, they were married and raised their family in Milwaukee where she retired from LM Berry in 1982. Dorothy enjoyed reading the bible and spending time with her family and friends. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Shorehaven, 3rd floor chapel, in Oconomowoc on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 12:30PM. Visitation for family and friends will take place from 11:30 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's name can be made to AngelsGrace Hospice.
