Barry W. Weissenborn of Oconomowoc passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the age of 70. Barry was born March 5, 1942, in Milwaukee, to Walter and Elsie Weissenborn.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Patti (P.J.). He is the dear father of Corey Herden, Troy Herden, Lisa (Brian) Tennyson, Linda Zalewski, Barry (Meghan) Weissenborn, Nick (Tami) Neitzel and Lynnette (Rob) Dahl. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Gerondale, and 16 grandchildren.
 

Barry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis. Barry was a member of Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Oconomowoc Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2260. He served in the  U.S. Army as a military police officer during Vietnam. He started police work with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department and retired from the Chenequa Police Department as captain after 33 years of total service.
 

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hartland. His final rest will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens.
