Marvin P. Schiller

 


Marvin P. Schiller, 92, was welcomed by the Lord on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.

 

He was the dear husband of Doris for 65 years. He is survived by his children, Gene (Kathy) and Michael (Mary Beth) Schiller. He was the proud grandpa of Jim (Sandra) Jensen and Tyler Schiller; great-grandpa of Brianna, Kama, and Samantha; foster father of Renee Zimmerman of Fort Worth, Texas, Edwin Mueller, Charlotte Landers and Jay Reed; foster grandfather to 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. He is further survived by a brother, Ronnie; three sisters, Velma, Dorothy and Evelyn; and three sisters-in-law. Marvin was also a favorite uncle to more than 100 nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

 

Marvin was an avid camper and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. During his lifetime, he worked at Waukesha Engine for 34 years followed by 25 years as a crossing guard in the Waukesha school system. He was a lifetime member of Elk Lodge 400 and a two-time Elk Of The Year award recipient. He also was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha for the past 62 years.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke’s Church or the Waukesha Elk Lodge 400 are appreciated.

 

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon service Wednesday, Jan. 30, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha.
