William N. ‘Bill’ Hoskins
Sept. 7, 1943 – July 3, 2013
N. “Bill” Hoskins of Waukesha passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at
the age of 69.
He was born Sept. 7, 1943, in Olympia, Wash., the son of John and
Bill married the love of his life, Ruby Self, on March 5, 1968. He was a
proud United States Army veteran and he served three years in the Army
Corps of Engineers, finishing as a first lieutenant with a year in South
Vietnam. Bill was a professional licensed engineer, graduating with a
master’s degree in mining engineering. Beginning in 2008, he was a
member of the All-Writers’ Workplace & Workshop of Waukesha, developing
his writing skills. Bill enjoyed photography, golf, fishing and most of
all spending time with his family.
Bill will be sadly missed by his wife, Ruby Hoskins; children, Nathan
Hoskins of Waukesha and Elizabeth Hoskins of Waukesha; sisters, Gretchen
Hoskins of California and DeEtte (Jeff) Huelse of Idaho; stepmother,
Artys Hoskins of Idaho; sisters-in-law, Wanda (Wayne) Neilsen, Sharon
(Hubert) Lambert and Marie (Gary) Ward; and brother-in-law, Glen (Nancy)
Self. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters- in-law, Betty
Ann Self and Virginia Redding and her husband, Lonnie Redding.
The services for Bill will be private at Southern Wisconsin Veterans
Cemetery in Union Grove.
