Donald J. ‘Don’ Schultz

Donald J. “Don” Schultz of Waukesha died Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Muskego Health Care Center at the age of 80. Don was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 21, 1933, the son of Walter and Lillian (Polczynski) Schultz.

He married Ruth Radke on Sept. 4, 1971, at Salem United Methodist Church. Don was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waukesha, where he served as a eucharistic minister. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Waukesha Council 1825, where he had served as the Grand Knight. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, where he had served as Faithful Navigator and was active in the Honor Guard. Don had been employed for many years at First Wisconsin Bank in the banking investment department.

Don will be dearly missed by his wife, Ruth; son, Scott (Melissa) Schultz; and by eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his aunt, Florence.

The visitation for Don will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial on Friday, July 12, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate. Interment with full military honors to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Milwaukee. Please meet inside the cemetery gates at 12:45 p.m.
