Robert D. Kissinger of Oconomowoc passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the age of 87. He was born Aug. 23, 1925, in the Town of Summit, to Clarence and LaVern Kissinger.
He married Arlene Dally on Sept. 18, 1954, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.
He is the loving husband of 58 years to Arlene and the dear father of Peter (Cynthia) Kissinger and Judith Kissinger-Juneau.
He is survived by six grandchildren, Peter, Lynsey, Paige, Robert Kissinger, Christopher and Holly Juneau, and one greatgrandchild, Corrie Juneau.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ruth Kissinger.
Robert was formerly employed with Uniroyal Inc. and later Larkin Lumber. He served proudly in the Navy during World War II. He was a life member of VFW Post 2260 in Oconomowoc, on the board of directors of Lutheran Homes in Oconomowoc, a former Scout master and the president of the band parents.
Friends may visit from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Friday, July 12, all at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, N50-W35181 Wisconsin Ave., Okauchee. His final rest will be at Summit Cemetery.
