Kevin J. Casey

Kevin J. Casey, 51, of  Waukesha, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha.

Kevin was born Aug. 28, 1961, the son of Cullen C. and Mary J. (Mickey) Casey. He graduated from Waukesha South High School.

After high school, Kevin started as a drummer for Honest Disgrace, a punk rock band. When 21, he started False Hope with his friends Shane and Joe Rocha. His longtime friend, Frank Millisan, later joined the band.

He worked for Shultz Construction Co. for years and later for Manpower. He also helped care for his parents at home in their later years.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by four siblings, Carol (Dick) La Monte of Beloit, Bill (Lynn) Casey of West Allis, John E. Casey of Emigrant, Mont., and Anne (Jim) Spica of Grand Rapids, Mich., and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin’s passion was his music. His band members were his friends. His significant other was Deborah Shimkus. The family would like to thank Debbie and his friends for caring for Kevin.

We would also like to thank the staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and at Seasons Hospice for their care.

There will be a Mass at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for those wishing to attend.
