Joanna D. Kahler
May 18, 1953 – July 12, 2013
Joanna D. Kahler of New Berlin joined Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, along with her mother and father, in the glory of heaven on Friday, July 12, 2013, at the age of 60. She was born May 18, 1953, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of John G. and Helen K. (nee Herlovich) Duke.
Joanna was a graduate of Westover High School in Albany, Ga., and graduated from Albany Jr. College as a registered nurse. On June 7, 1971, she married Robert Kahler in Albany.
She was a faithful member at The Church of Acts in Waukesha. She was very dedicated to her grandchildren, children, husband and her relationship with Jesus Christ.
She will missed by her husband, Robert of New Berlin; her children, Melanie K. Kloth of New Berlin and Rob (Amanda) Kahler Jr. of Waukesha; and grandchildren, Christian M. Kloth, Cassia J.
Kloth, Corinna B. Kloth, Renata C. Kloth, Katlynn L. Kahler, Robert P. Kahler and Jonathan J. Kahler.
She is also survived by her brother, Stephen E. (Anne) Duke of Athens, Ga., other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, July 17, at The Church of Acts, 900 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. David Liebherr will preside. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at Prairie Home Cemetery (please meet at the cemetery office).
