Shirley S. Osmanski

Shirley S. Osmanski of Waukesha died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Seasons Hospice at the age of 83 years. Shirley was born in Milwaukee, the daughter of Joseph and Selma (Bingenheimer) Olewinski.

She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes and her specialty was creating themed cakes and cupcakes. She also enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Crivitz, where she visited with her good friend Emma Schramm, but most of all, Shirley enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Dori (James) Bischmann; grandchildren, Alyssa and Alex Bischmann; sister-in-law, Lucille Olewinski; and a brother-in-law, Ted Artel. Shirley is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jack Schwarzenbacher; her second husband, James Osmanski; five sisters; and one brother.

The visitation for Shirley will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday, July 20, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Pete Peterson will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Shirley may be given to Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue, 828 Perkins Drive, Mukwonago, WI 53149.

The family of Shirley would like to thank her longtime caregivers, Theresa Daley and Monica Bealhen, as well as the staff at Seasons Hospice and Golden Gate Restaurant.
