Mary will be missed by all.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Driscoll (Niegelsen) Weinkauf and Warren Niegelsen; her adoptive father, Leland Weinkauf; and a brother, Jay Weinkauf.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was known for her excellent cooking and baking of cookies and desserts with her granddaughters around the holidays. Mary enjoyed hand quilting, gardening and ice skating. Mary was generous in sharing her talents with her family, friends and granddaughters. She was always there to support her family and friends. Mary had a great love for her granddaughters and will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and very dear grandmother.

Mary was a lifelong member of St. James Church in Mukwonago. She was involved with the Christian Women, St. James Environmental Committee and the Mukwonago Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. She was a longtime volunteer at Lindengrove Nursing Home until her illness would no longer allow her to volunteer. Mary was also a proud member of “The Great 8.”

Mary owned The Sewing Basket with her best friend and business partner, Kathy Waschow, for 30 years.

Mary’s Catholic faith, kindness and generosity will be missed, but celebrated by all who knew her. The home Mary has returned to is as heavenly as the home she created here on Earth.
