David Noel Bourget

Dec. 25, 1946 – June 3, 2013

David Noel Bourget fought the good fight and went on to his eternal home Monday, June 3, 2013. He was surrounded by family and his faithful dog, Monty, in the comfort of his home. David was born to Lloyd and Eleanor Bourget in Stanley on Dec. 25, 1946.

He grew up in Cornell, where he was a star athlete for the Chiefs, lettering in track, football, baseball and basketball. To this day, he holds a track record for the school.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Janet (James) Zinda; and brother, George.

Dave is survived by his wife of 20 years, Geri, and two stepchildren, Stephanie Strigenz of Lucerne, Switzerland, and Kirsten Strigenz of Milwaukee. He is also survived by his first wife, Donna of Delafield, and their children, Michelle of Pewaukee, Marc of Delafield and Rick of Waukesha; sister, Connie (Don) Winter of Wausau; sisters, Jackie (Eddy) Brummund of Stevens Point and Ann Ramoz of Dallas, Texas; and nieces, nephews and many friends.

As a father, Dave always loved his children unconditionally. He was a great provider, a constant encourager and a loving protector.

He showed his children how to strive for greatness and he tried to lead by example.

His life’s journey created a man of admirable character. Forever they will be grateful.

As a person, Dave was a man of deep faith and strong loyalties. He has so many friends from various walks of life who will strongly miss his warm and genuine personality, his wacky sense of humor and generous nature.

Funeral services for Dave will be held on Sunday, June 9, at Crosspoint Community Church, W380-N6931 N. Lake Road, Oconomowoc, at 5 p.m. Visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
