Lucille A. Maciejewski (nee Lukaszewski)

Lucille A. Maciejewski (nee Lukaszewski) of Milwaukee died peacefully in her sleep at age 92 on Monday, June 10, 2013.

She accepted death willingly and happily joins her husband Marce, daughter Linda, parents, brothers, sisters and good friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Jenkins (David), and her beloved granddaughter, and favorite playmate, Abigail. Rare was the time that Grandma did not slip Ab some candy or cash when Grandma thought no one was looking.

Mom/Grandma Lucy taught us many things, including how to make potica, and that Easter Sunday breakfasts are Polish sausage and coffee cake. She died knowing that many of her legacies live on although not the washing of all the dishes in the house twice each year.

Lucille loved all her family members and spent many happy hours playing sheepshead and having picnics at the lake with family and friends.

Those who remain will miss her, but are grateful for her long and blessed life.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Friday, June 14, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 136 W. Waukesha Road, Eagle. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, 14875 W. Greenfield Ave., New Berlin.

Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Eagle is assisting the family, 594-2442. For the online guest registry, please go to www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
