Raymond E. Pannemann Jr.

Raymond E. Pannemann Jr., 87, was born May 26, 1926, and passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Angels Grace Hospice. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorry, of 65 years. He was the beloved father of Larry (Mary), Raymond III (Teresa), Scott (Gail) and Craig (Julia) and seven loving grandchildren. He was the son of Bessie (nee Dendler) and Raymond E Pannemann Sr.
Ray graduated from Lakeview High School in 1944 in Chicago. He was drafted into World War II. His company commander was Audie Murphy, 3rd Infantry. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Ray was contracted by the Chicago White Sox farm team. His manager was Charlie Root, Cubs pitcher who pitched to Babe Ruth. He was co-owner of Don-Ray Distributors with his brother, Don, for 52 years.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Monday, June 24, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m.
