Eunice G. Anderson

Eunice G. Anderson of Waukesha, formerly of Janesville, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 97. She was born in Racine on May 8, 1916, the daughter of Gerald and Christine (nee Johnson) Geraldson.

On Feb. 20, 1943 she married John G. Anderson in Colorado Springs, Colo. She worked as an English teacher for many years at Craig High School in Janesville. Eunice was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church in Janesville where she was active in the Lay Witness Missions with her husband.

She was also a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization and American Association of University Women. Eunice enjoyed reading, baking, playing games, going up north and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Kristine (John) Voss of Gottenberg, Sweden, John (Debbie) Anderson of Oshkosh and Mark (Diana) Anderson of Waukesha; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Ali) Voss, Daniel Voss, Tina (Philip) Flygare, Anders Voss, Emily (Greg) Collins, Kristin, James, and Justin Anderson, Eric Anderson, Ellen (Kyle) Braband, Susan (Ryan) Prager and Lauren Anderson; and her great-grandchildren, Elsa, Sophia, Anders, Nils, Hope, Ellie, Bailey, Owen and Matthew. She is further survived by her brother, David (Velma) Geraldson of Waukesha; her sister-in-law, Jay (Gerald) Geraldson of Waukesha; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; sister, Mildred Campbell; and brothers, Raymond and Gerald.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Thursday, June 27, at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha. Interment will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Oak Hill Cemetery, 1725 N. Washington St., Janesville. Please meet at the cemetery.
