Philip Quex Weinheimer

Philip “Phil” Quex Weinheimer, a lifelong Waukesha resident, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. He was born in Waukesha on Oct. 16, 1921, the only child of Philip and Helen Weinheimer. 

 

He was a graduate of Waukesha High School and proudly served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1945 during World War II. Phil was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers and being outdoors.

 

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Lori (Terry Lekfield) Tapp of Muskego; his grandchildren, Patricia Magadanz, Kristina Magadanz, Nicole Magadanz, Jessica Magadanz and Mathew Tapp; and one great-grandchild, Tristen Lubecke.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends. 

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Weinheimer, in 1992; and most recently by his companion of 14 years, Doris Sheehan.

 

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Tuesday, April 2, at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Michael Turriff will preside. Graveside services with full military honors will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
