Walter G. Schoenike

Walter G. Schoenike, 91, of Dousman, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013.

 

Walter is survived by his daughters, Jane (Jack) Schoenike Takemoto and Kay (Patrick) Meisenheimer; a son, Thomas Schoenike; grandsons, Michael (Noelle) Aspnes, Samuel Aspnes, Daniel Aspnes, Blake (Angela) Meisenheimer and Brent Meisenheimer; great-grandson, Joseph Meisenheimer; a brother, Donald (Marilyn) Schoenike; and a sister, Beatrice Pieper. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Margaret Neitzel, and many other relatives and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel; a son Steven Schoenike; a brother, Harold Schoenike; and a sister, Bernice VanAlstine.

 

Walter served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and participated in a recent Honor Flight. He was employed by Navistar and Payne & Dolan. Walter was a longtime member of Dr. Martin Luther Church in Oconomowoc, the Waukesha Elks Club and the Kettle Moraine Golf Club.

 


Funeral services for Walter were held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc on Monday, March 25. Walter was laid to rest at LaBelle Cemetery in Oconomowoc.
