Walter O. ‘Red’ Dauffenbach Jr. passed away at AngelsGrace Hospice on Oct. 30, 2013, at age 90 years. He was the loving husband of Mary Lou for 36 years and loving dad of Walter III (Mary), Jeffrey (Carol) Campbell and Linda (John) Dora. He was the proud grandpa of eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of John Dauffenbach and brother-in-law of Lucy and Harriet Dauffenbach, and is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Red was a member of the 5th Airforce, 90th Bomb Group, Jolly Rogers in World War II. He served in the South Pacific, where he was involved in 44 combat missions.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 12 noon at First Baptist Church of Hartland, 780 Tenny Ave., Hartland. Burial will follow at Lisbon Merton Union Cemetery, Town of Lisbon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to AngelsGrace Hospice or the Church are appreciated.
