Edward G. Czech

Edward G. Czech, of Pewaukee, was born to eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2013, at the age of 90. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a co-founder of Pewaukee Mattress. He formerly served as a Pewaukee police commissioner. He was also active in Scouting, including Indian Guides and Scout Master Troop 88, Pewaukee.

His family always came first.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Rosemary (nee Werra) in 2001.

Survivors include his children, Martin (Lynn) Czech of Pewaukee, David Czech of Pewaukee, Barbara (Mark Bednarski) Dobbertin of Oconomowoc, John (Nicole Winter) Czech of Dousman, Christine (Fred) Vitale of Wales and Robert (Jean) Czech of Ashburn, Va.; his grandchildren, Martin Czech, Edward (Amber) Czech, Theresa (Dane) Hatanpa, Derek and Dayna Dobbertin, Melissa (Joshua) Robison, Aaron (Laura) Vitale, Anna (Tony Wepking) Vitale, Justin (Kim Dawson) Czech, Kayla (Bryan) Fagan, Jenna and Kyle Czech; and his great-grandchildren Tyler, Ethan, Finnegan, Sophia, Landen and Taylor.

He will be in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Nov. 23, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery chapel, Waukesha.
