Mike Hager died peacefully Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at age 83.

He was the loving husband of Joan for 60 years; father of Wayne (Karen), the late Mark and the late Scott; proud grandpa of Khrysten(David) Carmichael, Jayson (Kristin) Krueger, Timothy (Michelle) Hager, Scot (Beth) Hager, Nicholas Hager and Jordan Hager; and great-grandpa of Adrianna. Mike is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Airoldi, and a brother-in-law, Larry (Amy) Brown. He also will be missed by Debbie and Jeannie. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mike will always be remembered for helping friends and neighbors, and for his love of the great outdoors.

Mike served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a proud member of Local 139 Engineers for 50 years, and retired from Hillview Sand and Gravel Co. He was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waukesha.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. funeral prayer service Sunday, Dec. 1, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. A private entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha.
