James L.‘Jim’ Boyer


James L. “Jim” Boyer, 75, of Oconomowoc, entered into eternal life Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013.

He was a loving husband for 49 years to Ann (nee O’Brien); devoted father to children CJ (Terri) Boyer and Beth (James) Ryan; proud papa to grandchildren Jake, Maggie, Taylor and Brandon; and brother to Karen (Jerry) Anderson, Denise “Button” (Ken) Burch, Pauline Bruce, Lynn (Tim) Cantwell, Pat (Ginny) Rentmeester, Mike Rentmeester and the late Bobby (Fay) Rentmeester. He is further survived by many other close relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern (Merle) Boyer and Rose (Ron) Rentmeester.

Jim had been a supportive member of many Oconomowoc clubs, including the Young Bachelor’s Club, the Old Foggie’s Club, the Historical Society and the Wednesday Afternoon Sheepshead Club. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1962, active during the Berlin Crisis, and was stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington.

Jim was a devoted family man with a generous heart. He was an immensely loved and cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation for family and friends will take place from 1:30 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service Friday, Oct. 11, at St. Catherine of Alexandria, W359-N8512 Brown St., Oconomowoc.
