She is survived by her children, Jutta (Paul) Leiske, Carol-Anne (Arthur) Wallner and Eric (Sandra) Conrath; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as two nieces and a nephew.
Elisabeth was born in Haldensleben, Germany, on Aug. 18, 1918, to Franz and Helene Steller. She immigrated to the United States in 1949 from her beloved Berlin, which she always fondly remembered. The family lived in the Milwaukee area where Elisabeth was an active member of Sherman Park Lutheran Church.
Elisabeth was employed at Wisconsin Drill Head Co. for many years. After retirement, she and her husband moved to New Port Richey, Fla., where she belonged to the German American Social Club of New Port Richey and attended Asbury United Methodist Church, where she was an active choir member for many years. Elisabeth was also an avid bowler, having been a member of many bowling leagues in the Milwaukee area and in New Port Richey. After 37 years in Florida, she moved back to Wisconsin in 2009 and resided at Avalon Square in Waukesha. Elisabeth attended services regularly at Avalon Square, where a private memorial service will be held with the Rev. Linda Loving presiding. She truly enjoyed life at Avalon Square and participated in many activities, especially baking cookies, Wii bowling, Dominoes, bingo and many other social functions. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel, 605 S.
Prairie Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. Doug Schoen of Elmbrook Church presiding.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Avalon Square, 222 Park Place, Waukesha.
The family gratefully thanks Dr. Caryn Brownell, the staff at Avalon Square and Seasons Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to Elisabeth.
