Andrew Graham Bothwell
Aug. 28, 1978 – Oct. 9, 2013
Andrew Graham Bothwell of Howell, Mich. (originally Janesville), passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013. He left life too early but brought great joy to so many, especially his family, in his short 35 years.
Andrew, born in India, was adopted as a toddler by his parents, Jack and Kennie Bothwell. He spent his early childhood along with his sister, Amanda, in Janesville. As a child, he enjoyed success in every sport he could talk his parents into letting him try.
When he was 10, his family moved to Waukesha. He continued his love of sports, especially excelling in tennis.
Blessed with a beautiful voice, Andrew sang in many school and civic performances. His interests and talents were developed in wonderful ways thanks to the many mentors in his life. He graduated from Waukesha North High School in 1997, serving proudly as class baccalaureate speaker. After high school, Andrew’s special skills and charisma grew into successes in sales and marketing. His infectious enthusiasm was unparalleled.
Four years ago, Andrew met the love of his life, Shajal. They married in June 2011. Together they shared three beloved dogs, a passion for University of Michigan football, and a determination to spoil their niece Ania and nephew Matthew. Laughter flowed to friends and family through their loving marriage. Andrew especially delighted in becoming part of Shajal’s large, caring family.
Andrew loved to give gifts, tell a good story, deliver a joke, liven every gathering, and most of all dote upon his beautiful wife.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Shajal Vithal Bothwell of Howell; father, Jack (Rob Krohlow) of Wauwatosa; mother, Keni of Brookfield; sister, Amanda Bothwell Kurowski, and brother-in-law, Patrick Kurowski of Whitefish Bay; his grandmothers, Marjorie G. King and Lorraine M. Bothwell; along with an amazing extended family of mother-in-law Nayana Parikh, sister-in-law Sapana Parikh, aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephew, and many, many friends – all who loved him dearly.
Andrew’s family would appreciate, if so desired, memorials in his name be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness-Waukesha County Chapter, 217 Wisconsin Ave., Suite 300, Waukesha, WI 53186 (www.namiwaukesha.org) or the Wisconsin Humane Society, Andrew Bothwell Tribute account, 4500 W.
