Milo Junior LaDell


Milo Junior LaDell passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at the age of 87 surrounded by his loving family in Camp Douglas.

He was the beloved husband of Dorothy for 67 years; kind father of John (Anita) LaDell, Pamela (Ronald) Pulver and Lanny (Maureen) LaDell; fatherin- law of James Olson; and loving grandfather of Tonya and Joey LaDell, Kevin Pulver, Dustine (Bradford) Kurth, Nicole (Scott) Stritesky, Kathy Fleckenstein, Adam and Loren LaDell, Brian (Melissa) Olson and Jamie Olson. He was also loved by his 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Clara LaDell; brother, Robert LaDell; and by his beloved daughter, Kathleen Olson. He served in World War II for the Marines from 1942 to 1946, where he received the Purple Heart and the Medal of Honor.

He worked for American Motors for 24 years before retiring. After retiring, he and his wife built five houses in Big Bend, they then moved to Camp Douglas and helped his daughter in her bar business, and also came down to help his other daughter in her bar business when needed – before deciding he wanted to drive semitrailers for a living, across country and locally. He worked for several trucking companies from age of 79 to 84, before permanently retiring.

There will be no services. Cremation will be handled by Roseberry’s in Adams-Friendship.
