WAUKESHA

Jeannine S. Hansen (nee Werner)

Jeannine S. Hansen (nee Werner) joined her husband, Bernard P. “Red” Hansen, on Monday, October 28, 2013, at the age of 85.

She was the beloved mother of Jory, Steve (Teri) and Bruce Hansen; proud grandmother “Grams Crackers” of Amie (Tom) Gillespie, Rebecca, Jessica and Brandon Hansen; great-grandmother of Evaya and Jackson; and dear sister of Nancy Evens and Penny Smith. Jeannine is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jeannine retired from the Waukesha County Courthouse as deputy clerk of courts after many years of service. She also co-founded L.O.B.S (Last of the Big Spenders). This organization welcomes newcomers into the Waukesha area and developed into a community of folks who celebrated life together and remain friends to this day. Jeannine also loved playing bridge with her friends so much that they all became Marathon Players. She used both her skill and creative talents as a Brownie and Cub Scout leader as well as making her own lovely pottery. She and Red enjoyed world travel in their later years together, and now they’ve made their eternal journey together.

Jeannine has given us the blessings of fortitude, love and compassion, and will continue to live in our hearts forever.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the 1:30 p.m. memorial service Friday, Nov. 1, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.
