Kale A. Nicholls

Kale A. Nicholls passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at the age of 74. He was born May 28, 1939, in Stoughton, the son of Alvin and Rannie (nee Otteson) Nicholls.
He graduated from Stoughton High School and was married to Elayne Havey in 1959 in Stoughton. Kale served in the National Guard in the early 1960s. Kale began working for Wisconsin Bell in 1967, and moved to Waukesha, where the company moved from Ameritech to AT&T to SBC Communications. Kale was formerly a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was currently a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha.
Kale is survived by his wife, Elayne Nicholls of Waukesha; a daughter, Brenda (Tim) Hine of Delafield; and a son, Dale (Patti) Nicholls of Oconomowoc. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Heather (Zach), Kayla, Austin, Lauren and Scott, and by a great-grandson, Brodie. Kale is further survived by one sister, Mary (Myron) Sime of Stoughton, and by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Alvin and Rannie Nicholls, and by a brother, Terril, who died in infancy.
Visitation for Kale will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the 4:30 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Nov. 3, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp St., Waukesha. A reception will follow the services at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ascension Lutheran Church, the Prostate Cancer Foundation or to Angels-Grace Hospice would be appreciated.
