Marguerite M. ‘Marge’ Eichholz
July 29, 1919 – March 19, 2013
Marguerite M. “Marge” Eichholz of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Waukesha, left us to be with God on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the age of 93. She was born in Dijon, France, on July 29, 1919, the daughter of Frederick and Marie (nee Guenon) Christnacht.
Marge married Ralph J. Eichholz on April 11, 1942, in Milwaukee. Marge retired from Dresser (formerly Waukesha Motor Co.) after 30 years. All the relatives, friends and co-workers loved her “special” cheese torte. Auntie Marge shared her love with the family and friends and could never say “no.”
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Poppie of Waukesha and Marilyn (Gene) Berry of Tucson; grandchildren, Kevin (Tammy) Poppie of Colgate, Michelle Borgwordt of New Berlin, Todd (Anna Elizando) Craig of Tucson and Kimberly (Jon) Keeter of Tucson; nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son-inlaw, Paul Poppie; two brothers, Jim and Ted Christnacht.
A special thank you to Della and Cynthia at LOVECARE and the staff of Odyssey Hospice in Arizona who made her last days peaceful.
The visitation for Marge will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. memorial Mass on Monday, Sept. 16, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Interment will take place immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha.
