Robert Steven Nolan, 63, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully at
Angels-Grace Hospice on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013. Steve is survived by
his loving wife, Mary; son, Robert Charles, stepchildren Rex Harroun,
Ryan (Rebecca) Harroun, Kristin Harroun, and Kasey (Peter) Saindon;
siblings Wilma Burke, Robbie Dunn, Carol Ann Doctor, and stepsiblings
Joyce Woodley and Thomas Woodley. Steve is also survived by his nephew
John Christopher Burke, and grandchildren Jacob Harroun, Emma and
Madelyn Harroun, and Sofie Saindon. He was preceded in death by his
mother, Marion Smith, father, Robert James Nolan, and stepbrother
Steve was born and raised in Memphis, Tenn. He met his wife while living
in Venice, Fla. The family resided in Oconomowoc, where he retired from
Brownberry Bakery. Steve was a Marine Corps combat veteran of Vietnam.
He was an active member of Chapter 635 of the Vietnam Veterans
Association in Oconomowoc. Steve’s departure will be a loss for all
whose lives he touched.
Funeral services for Steve will be held at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church
in Oconomowoc on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation for family and friends will take place from 9:30 a.m. until
the time of the service. Steve will receive full military honors and be
laid to rest at Union Grove Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
