Thomas Joseph Yake of Waukesha died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at his home at the age of 63. He was born in Waukesha on Oct. 7, 1949, the son of Harold and Catherine (nee Seitz) Yake.
He was a 1967 graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969 until 1973. He worked for Waukesha Engine from 1968 until he was drafted, and then again from 1973 until 1989. He was a member of the Waukesha Engine Old Timers and was a resident at Saratoga Heights.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Lois (the late James) Munzel of Watertown and Mary (John) Smale of Waukesha, and his brother, Harold Yake of Waukesha. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. service Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Randle- Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Burial with full military honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
