James L. ‘Jim’ Gearing

James L. “Jim” Gearing, 51, of Waukesha, through faith, left this life for a better one, and is now in the care of God the Father and Jesus Christ, his son.

He passed on the evening of Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, surrounded by caring family. Although he fought courageously and overcame many of life’s struggles, he lost his battle with cancer.

He was employed at Industry to Industry in New Berlin.

His interests included music, travel, electronics, photography/video, spoiling his pets, and spending time with his close family and friends.

Jim was a gentle person and was eager to help people in need. His quiet nature and engaging personality have left lasting impressions on those that knew him.

A heartfelt thank you to Paul and Judy, who gave Jim their longtime friendship, and for all they did for him. Also, thank you to the caregivers and doctors at Waukesha Memorial Hospital who gave comfort to Jim as well as comfort to his family. Many thanks also to Jim’s neighbors for the times they gave their help and encouragement to him.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation or to your local animal shelter.
