David A. Reinke

David A. Reinke, 90, of Crossville, Tennessee, formerly of Oconomowoc and Milwaukee, passed away on July 28, 2014.

He will be missed by his children, Renée (Bill) Wesenberg, Ron (Joanne) Reinke, Christine Reinke and Suzanne Reinke, and his brother-inlaw, Chet (Sandy) Durham, who was like a son to Dave. He is also survived by his three grandsons, Bill (Susan Treacy) Wesenberg Jr., Joe Wesenberg and Ryan Reinke; his step-granddaughter, Jennifer; and three great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his wife, Billie Ann, in Crossville, and a niece and many nephews.

Dave served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Later he worked many years as a mason and cement contractor in the Milwaukee area. He also owned the Hideaway Tavern with his wife Miriam (“Maude”) on Okauchee Lake from 1967 to 1979. Dave moved to Tennessee in the early 1990s.

Our dad was an avid golfer, making five holes-in-one, and he shot his age at 79. He was a bowler for many years in Milwaukee and Hartland. He enjoyed playing pool and cards with his many friends in Tennessee. Dave followed the Braves, both in Milwaukee and Atlanta, and was a dedicated Packers fan all his life. Dave was a great storyteller and an encyclopedia of jokes who always got a laugh.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Miriam, and two sisters, Grace (Artie) Quasius and Joyce (Harold) Evans.

Our family would like to thank all the hospice nurses and personnel at Cumberland House in Crossville. We very much appreciate the difficult job they do with such great love and compassion. We love our Dad and he will be missed.

No funeral will be held.
