Calvin D. Mundt

Calvin D. Mundt of Watertown, formerly of Hartland, died on August 11, 2014, at home with family at his side.
Calvin was born October 30, 1923, in Sullivan, and grew up in that area until joining the Army at age 19, where he served in the ETO during WWII .
He married his sweetheart, Eva, on June 28, 1946, after returning from the war. Together they lived in the Town of Lisbon while raising their family of six children. He and Eva owned and hobby-farmed her family’s (Tempero) homestead for over 60 years.
Calvin worked different jobs as an adult, but the majority of his working career was as a body man at the former Hornburg Ford in Hartland for almost 40 years. After retirement from there, he worked at Tobin Drugs in Oconomowoc.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eva (Tempero), and his six children: Harold (Lorna) of Watertown, Carolyn (John) Stewart of Watertown, Gerald (Diana) of Nashotah, Marilyn (Allen) Shoup of Watertown, Darrell (Pam) of Watertown and Ronald (Christine) of Hartford. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Donna, nieces and nephews, as well as many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother; his father, Albert; mother, Florence; stepmother Frances; brother Donald; granddaughter Angela; and grandson-in-law Timothy Weber.
Visitation for Calvin will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, at First Baptist Church of Hartland, 780 Tenny Ave., in Hartland, where Calvin and Eva were charter members. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Lisbon-Merton Union Cemetery in Lisbon.
