Rafael R. Lazcano
June 20, 1919 — Aug. 26, 2014
Rafael R. Lazcano, of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 95. He was born in El Potrero de los Indios, Mexico, on June 20, 1919, the son of Rafael and Teodula (nee Reyes) Lazcano.
He worked for General Castings for many years until his retirement in 1982. Rafael enjoyed music, singing and candy, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his 10 children, Josefa (Lauro) Melero, Epifanio (Leonila) Lazcano, Petra (Donicio) Borrego, Concepcion (the late Lazaro) Perez, Guadalupe Lazcano, Magdalena (Alejandro) Garcia, Jose (Consuelo) Lazcano, Maria (Victor) Yañez, Rafael (Mari Isela) Lazcano and Maria (Danny) Barker, and his 34 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe, and his brothers Bonifacio and Manuel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Visitation continues on Saturday, August 30, from 9:30AM until the time of the 10:30AM funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Avenue, Waukesha. Father Bill Key will preside.
