Bill Foster, age 62 of Oconomowoc, peacefully went home to Jesus on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Micki (nee Kopp); stepdaughter, Rebecca (Bill) Seymour; and stepson Michael (Lois) Bertrand and Doug (Elizabeth) Bertrand. He was loving “Poppy” to Nathan, 17, Wyatt, 12, Katie, 10, Camille, 7, Sophie, 7, Owen, 5, James, 5, and Jonathan, 2. Bill is also survived by his sister, Reva (Jim) Eisaman; niece, Jamie Kleck; and nephew, Josh Eisaman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Lois.
Bill was born June 19, 1952 in Holgate, Ohio. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Bill worked at Lakeland Automotive in Oconomowoc and Lake Mills for over 20 years. He was a very active member of the Oconomowoc Kiwanis Club since 1987 and served as club president from 1989-1990 and again from 1994-1995. He was also a member of the Lake Mills Rotary Club from 2010-2012, a life member of the American Legion and a member of the Elks Club in Maumee, Ohio, from 1977-1983. Bill was a youth leader at First Congregational UCC of Oconomowoc from 2011-present. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to volunteer and enjoyed giving back to his community. Bill loved being with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by everyone including his little dog “Molly.”
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at First Congregational UCC in Oconomowoc on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service with a luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s name can be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org, Angels-Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc or the Oconomowoc Kiwanis Breakfast Club.
