Marion R. Hinze of Waukesha died Friday, February 14, 2014, at LindenGrove in Waukesha at the age of 84 years. She was born in Waukesha on October 26, 1929, the daughter of Clarence and Anna (nee Mueller) Maile.

She was a 1949 graduate of Waukesha High School. On August 6, 1949, she married Gordon E. Hinze; he preceded her in death on October 15, 2003. Along with her husband, Marion enjoyed many summers at their cottage in Wautoma. She loved going to the movies, playing dominoes and had a special place in her heart for her dachshunds. Marion was a lifelong member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ. She will always be remembered for her gentle nature and kind spirit.

She will be sadly missed by her brother, John (Charlotte) Maile of Waukesha; her sister-in-law, Shirley Maile of Waukesha; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Robert Maile.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to LindenGrove and Seasons Hospice for the kind and generous care provided to Marion.

There will be a gathering to honor Marion’s life on Friday, February 21, from 10 AM until the time of the 11:30 AM memorial service at the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. James Gorman will preside. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Prairie Home Cemetery.
