William ‘Duke’ Harold Duchow

William “Duke” Harold Duchow of Oconomowoc passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2014.

William is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy; children Cheryl (Joel) Tesch, Bob (Brenda) Duchow, Curt (Sue) Duchow, Vicki (Rob) Kuhl and William Jr. (Donna) Duchow; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Margaret Duchow; brother Richard “Cookie”; sister and brother-in-law, June (Dick) Rowley; brother Donald Duchow; half-brothers Fritz and Butch Gartzke; and a daughter, Deborah Duchow.

William founded the Faith and Hope Foundation for paralyzed children and was also the founder and owner of the Racine Raiders (semiprofessional football team).

He was also a huge Badgers fan, enjoyed golf, photography and cooking.

Services for Bill will be held at 5:30 p.m. today, Jan. 9, with a visitation starting at 3 p.m. for family and friends, all to take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc. Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Concord Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Oconomowoc.
