Harvey F. Lamp

June 27, 1956 – Jan. 11, 2014

Harvey F. Lamp of Hancock died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 57. He was born in Waukesha on June 27, 1956, the son of Lawrence and Alice (nee Sievert) Lamp.

On Nov. 9, 1974, he married Judy Michalski in New Berlin. Harvey worked as a machinist for many years. Harvey was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, especially enjoying the Packers, Brewers and the Bucks. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Harvey’s family meant the world to him and he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, papa, brother, son and friend to many.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 39 years, Judy of Hancock; their children, James (Valerie) Lamp of Mukwonago and Michelle (Terry) Eckmann of Waukesha; and his mother, Alice Lamp of Genesee. He was the dear papa of Hannah, Kaitlyn, Nicholas and Addisyn; and beloved brother of Larry (Mary) Lamp of Waukesha, Donald (Shirley) Lamp of Watertown, Robert (Stella) Lamp of Nashotah, Thomas (Gail) Lamp of Hartland, Joanne Lamp of Waukesha, Edward (Lisa) Lamp of Delafield and Gary (Doris) Lamp of Richfield. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the UW Cancer Center Riverview and to the UW Hospital in Madison for the care provided to Harvey.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S.

Grand Ave., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 17, at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. followed by a procession departing the funeral home at 11 a.m. for burial at Salem Cemetery in Wales.
