Victoria Sandra Mager

July 29, 1995 – Jan. 11, 2014

Victoria “Vicky” Sandra Mager was born July 29, 1995, to Michael and Olivia Ascencio (nee Regalado).

Sadly, on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, Vicky left this world to be in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The oldest of six children, she is survived by Michael Mager Sr. (father) and Kathleen Mager (loving stepmother), both of Wautoma, Olivia (mother) and Homero Ascencio (stepfather) and siblings: Michael Jr., Sophia, Anneliese, William and Jessie. She is also survived by her grandparents, Robert and Sandra Mager of Milwaukee, Fredrick and Carol Herrmann of Tustin, Robert and Nancy Sommer of Sussex and Julia Regalado Valdes of Guanajuato, Mexico; and great-grandmother, Bernice Jeske of Red Granite.

She was a recent graduate of Wautoma High School and previously worked part time at Riverview Elementary School in Wautoma, with the younger children of the A+ program. She adored children and was an accomplished artist, as well as beautician. She was currently working at Wendy’s full time and attending WCTC part time. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, was not an ordinary day for Vicky. She had just received her driver’s license and paid off her car on her own. She was extremely proud of herself. She was ready to get her own apartment with Neivette and Meredith.

She had so many positive things going on for.

Vicky was in the process of entering military service at the time of her death. She was to be the first woman in the Mager family to serve, joining a long and proud family tradition of military service going back to the Civil War. Her father, grandfather and great-grandfather all served in the Armed Forces, with her greatgrandfather having been killed in action during World War II (earning the Distinguished Service Cross, a Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart).

“Lord Jesus, you removed my little girl from this world, and some people may not understand, why it is that I thank you for this? Although I am devastated and missing her physical presence, I am reminded of your promise of everlasting life. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, I truly understand, that we must offer prayers of Thanksgiving to You. Eighteen years You have given us with this most special angel here on earth. She was and is my reason for living; my inspiration and strength to do all that is good in your name. I know that she was spiritually prepared to meet you, and ask that You welcome and embrace her in your loving arms. I understand that our lives do not belong to us, yet they are a gift from you.

Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen.”

I’m gonna miss you Pumpkin – Daddy I’m going to miss my sweet angel – Mom Vicky, I love you so much, you are the daughter that I never had. Love forever – Tia Maria
