Robert E. ‘Bob’ Gerdes
Robert E. ‘Bob’ Gerdes of Delafield passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan 9, 2014.
Bob is survived by his loving daughter, Amy (Michael) Hasselkus of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Abbie Weed, Annah Weed and Alyse Lotz; and a great-grandson, Owen Martinson.
Bob is further survived by his brother, Fred Gerdes; brother-in-law, Richard Riehle; many nieces and nephews; special “son” Jon Kohlmetz; and Bob’s girlfriend, Leanne Nord, along with her daughter, Alana Nord. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Irma Gerdes; his sister, Ellen Riehle; and nephew, Michael Gerdes.
Bob, better known as BobO or Hootin, was a longtime resident of the Waukesha County area. He enjoyed motorcycles, tractors and fast cars. Bob-O was previously involved in farming and enjoyed his farm animals. He also worked as a plumber and belonged to the Plumbers Union Local 75.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 16, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 E. Summit Ave., Oconomowoc. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, Jan. 17, at Crosspoint Community Church, W380-N6931 N. Lake Road, Oconomowoc.
