Lorna Jean Balistrieri

Lorna Jean Balistrieri, age 82, died peacefully at Barrett House in Ripon on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014.

She was born Aug. 27, 1931, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Harry and Mildred Pagel Hanson. She graduated from Rufus King High School. She owned The Season’s Restaurant in Oconomowoc, and worked several other places as a waitress.

Lorna is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Michael) Mielke of Neshkoro; two granddaughters, Cari Tetzlaff (Adam Bartlett) of Oshkosh and Risa (Robert) Freund of Oshkosh; four sisters, Juanita Bork of Oslo, Minn., Nadine Schuelke of Brookfield, Ramona Helz of Cedarburg and Janet Hanson of Milwaukee; and one brother, John (Connie) Hanson of Rhinelander.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, with the Rev. Dale Kastberg officiating. Following cremation, inurnment will be in Valhalla Cemetery, Milwaukee.
