Judie Ristow entered eternal life on June 30, 2014 after a battle with cancer.
She was born in Milwaukee on April 23, 1941, to Ruth and Gerald J.
Hausmann and attended Holy Angels Academy and Marquette University. She was preceded in death by her parents and her soul mate, John M. Ristow, whom she married at Church of the Gesu in 1964. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Ann (James) Putnam of Danville, Calif., and Barbara Lynne (Christopher) Hennessy of Chicago, Ill.
She is further survived by her grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas and Kaitlyn Putnam and Lillian and Eloise Hennessy. She was the loving sister of James (Susan) Hausmann. Judie leaves behind many other relatives and friends.
She contributed to education in many ways, including serving on the Arrowhead School Board for 33 years and served many important roles on the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and the Cooperative Education Service Agencies.
Judie was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She enjoyed cheering on the Northwestern University Wildcats football team. Her food was well-known at the tailgate parties.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will be at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland, on Wednesday, July 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m.
Internment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery, 300 School Street, Pewaukee.
