Kathleen Hockwalt (nee Kerr) passed away peacefully following a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the age of 65.
Kathy lived in the Lake Country area all her life. She was in the first class of four years to attend St. Charles School. She was a graduate of Arrowhead High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She worked as a legal secretary for many years. Kathy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, spending time on the beach near the ocean and supporting Indian gaming. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was very patriotic and always had fireworks on her birthday.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 40 years, Dick; her loving children, Jeremiah (Angelina) Hockwalt of Lindstrom, Minn., Jennifer (Jerry Nuernberger) Hockwalt of Delafield and Justin (Jeremy Krueger) of Glenwood City. She was a greatly loved grandma to Charly, Kimberly, Ericka, Mitchell, Kaylie, Mykenzie and Jocelyn. She is further survived by her mother, Dolores Kerr, siblings, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland, on Saturday, July 19, from 1:00 PM until a prayer service at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials received will be donated to Angels-Grace Hospice or Caskets for Veterans with No Next of Kin.
