Virginia M. ‘Ginny’ Schuldenberg


Virginia M. “Ginny” Schuldenberg of Waukesha passed away peacefully Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the age of 79. She was born in Milwaukee, the daughter of Armin and Elsie (nee Jonen) Schuldenberg.

Ginny married Felix Feyerer on January 8, 1977. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Throughout Ginny’s life she loved knowledge and travel; she was an elementary school teacher from 1957 to 1961 in Wauwatosa, and received her master’s degree at Marquette University and then taught for the Department of Defense overseas in Japan and Germany from 1961 to 1965. Ginny returned and received her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri in 1970. She was a professor at Carroll University in Waukesha and finally at Alverno College in Milwaukee from August 1992 until June 2000. She and Felix were able to travel all over, from Jamaica to Europe for many years.

Ginny will be lovingly missed by her husband, Felix, of 37 years; her stepdaughter, Joanne (Brent Dawson) Feyerer; brother, Robert (Jeannie) Schuldenberg; sister, Mary Buck; sister-in-law, Mary Schuldenberg; and nieces and nephews, Lucy (Robert) Kraut, Monica (Robert) Mackowski, Paula (Mark) Kampe, Dave (Jane) Gross, Peggy (Lyle) Longley, Joe (Michelle) Gross, Julie (Kevin) Jansett, Terri (David) Agnus and Jim Schuldenberg. She is further survived by many great-nieces, -nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Schuldenberg.

A visitation for Ginny will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 28, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Curt Frederick will be officiating. The burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, N88-W13600 Main St., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051.
