Kaylee Ann Dentinger (nee Kasten)

Oct. 17, 1945 – June 1, 2014

Kaylee Ann Dentinger passed away on June 1, 2014, in Waukesha. Kaylee was born to Kenneth and Beatrice Kasten on October 17, 1945, in Milwaukee. She was very close with her siblings Kathy, Susan, Richard and Mark.

She graduated from Milwaukee Washington High School in the summer of 1963.

She married Ron Dentinger Sr. in the summer of 1965.

Together they raised their children Ron Jr. and Joann.

Her children were the center of her life. She had a terrific work ethic which was necessary in order to maintain a full-time job while raising two children. Kaylee and Ron Sr. started their family in Milwaukee. In 1968, they moved to Dodgeville. Kaylee enjoyed living in Dodgeville. She had many close friendships from her years living there while raising her family. She also was extremely close to her in-laws Bill and Shirley Dentinger, Janice and Dick Hartwig, Diane and Tom Schopf, Mary Ann Gilpin, Randy Dentinger, Jeff and Ann Dentinger and Debbie and John Olson. Kaylee was especially thankful to Edween Reagh for her friendship and support in helping her to find serenity.

Kaylee was a key component in the Dodgeville wrestling community in the 1970s and 1980s. She would organize weekly trips for her son and his teammates during the wrestling season. Her spirit and dedication made it possible for many young wrestlers to travel and compete throughout the Midwest.

There are many Dodger wrestling families from this time period who are truly thankful for her efforts.

Kaylee loved her children and their families dearly.

Some of the best times she had in recent years were the days she spent with her son Ron Jr., his wife Tricia Sue and their children Ron Lee III and Tricia Ann. Kaylee and Ron Jr. maintained a very close relationship. They talked all the time. She found great comfort confiding in him. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She loved playing games with them, watching Ron Lee III compete in football and Tricia Ann compete in volleyball as well as cuddling with them both.

Kaylee had great love and pride for her daughter, Joann and Joann ’s husband David Kurzynski. Joann and David were always there for her when she needed help the most. The fact that Joann was able to be at her mother ’s side as she passed brought Kaylee the greatest comfort of all.

Kaylee was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Kathy and her beloved Doomer the Doberman.

Loved ones she left behind include her children Ron Jr. (Tricia) and Joann Kurzynski (David), her grandchildren Ron Lee III and Tricia Ann, Ron Sr. and her siblings Susan (Dick) Boettcher, Richard (Mary) Kasten and Mark Kasten. There are many nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws and friends who she cared for deeply as well.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Dodgeville High School Wrestling Team or Kaylee’s chapter of A.A. are appreciated.
